 |  Preaching Ministry - The Pastor is committed to expository preaching, or going systematically through sections or books of the Bible, so that we are built up and edified in the Word of God. Exposition means expounding what a particular Scripture says and applying it to the congregation. Over the past few years, we have gone through the Gospel of Mark, Philippians, and now we are in the Gospel of Matthew. At times, we will have topical sermon series, such as Marriage and Family, Finances, Relationships, or Prayer. For example, we are doing a series called "We will serve the LORD" and committing ourselves and our homes to serve God. The church is sensitive to the Pastor and his wife. When they are away, a designated person will fill in and preach. You can be sure that you will hear the gospel and grow in your faith when you come to Hopewell. |
